How I Will Spend My $5

As it is known worldwide, it is currently playoff time in the NHL, and it is down to the final two teams; the BEST two. Sorry, but I lost faith in the Canucks when they lost in the clutch moment to qualify for playoffs. Now that the season is almost over, and the final series is well underway, it is evident that both the Red Wings and the Penguins are both in the same boat right now. They both would love to claim the prize; the Stanley Cup. Even though the series seems a bit one sided at the moment, the Pens will prevail and take the win. Yet there are still people who believe that the Wings are going to roll through and own the league (like they could have done for the past ten or so years, but were easily eliminated in the early rounds), aka Evan Frymire. He still puts his hope in the "Number 1" team, and I have stayed loyal to the only team that matters, the Penguins. Out of this little rivalry between Evan and I, we have made a friendly cash waver, and will have beaking rights for a few short months. After Pittsburgh wins, I will hold out my hand and claim my $5 prize that I have so eagerly deserved while the Pens claim their prize along with me (The Cup). The instant I claim my cash reward, I will purchase a Slurpee, a bag of chips and possibly some bubble gum, and I will brag to Evan how the Wings were up in the series and choked. I'm just trying to say is that the Pens will win and finally Robert and I will brag to everybody who didn't believe in miracles. This is their year, and I will brag how I never lost hope in them.

Top 3: Desk Designs

Throughout all mankind, one invention has always been needed and used everyday. No matter where in the world and no matter what job people have, it is one of the most popular pieces of furniture. Everyday, people are striving to come up with a new design that will make big bucks in the market, and something innovative that keeps up with our modern style today. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am reviewing the Top 3 Desk Designs.

Number 3: French Empire Style Desk http://img.alibaba.com/photo/11843528/French_Empire_Style_Desk_W_Matching_Chair.jpg
This desk is the most common, and most basic type of desk. First used in the King Charles era, this is considered one of the most popular styles of all desks. Other designs base their structure on this blueprint because of the four leg design, only because it provides a large amount of support for the belongings that dwell upon it. Although it is it a classic, I have ranked it third due to the fact of how old it is.

Number 2: Scooter Desk http://www.geekologie.com/2007/10/19/desk-with-wheels.jpg
Being an innovative society, the Scooter Desk was a "slow catch", yet late in 2006, big companies finally caught on to the idea. Hitting big in the market later the next year, it was a must have, and it soon became the number one selling desk in the USA. Providing both a workspace, and a way of transportation, it was modifided later with an electric engine and was street legal. When seniors got a hold of these desks, they were quickly (very quickly) dissmissed, and were taken off the market.

Number 1: Mini-Desk http://www.uncrate.com/men/images/2007/02/mini-desk.jpg
There is no way possible to say how amazing this desk is. Obviously designed by a British person with way too much time on their hands, it was a huge hit. Only being sold to people who could afford it, people would go to great lengths to get their hands on this desk. Some people sold kidneys, others sold their hearts (who died almost right after making the trade for the desk), and others even sold their genitals. All I will say is that these people later regreted their first desicion, and lived the rest of their life in suffering; yet they still had the desk as a reminder.

There you go, I have briefly described the Top 3 Desk Designs, and I hope it will encourage you to expand your range of modern designs and styles. Have a nice day.

Angels and Demons Journal Entry Numero Uno

As with many other books out there, I can relate to certain parts through life experiences, and I can understand the book in a deeper meaning.

"Pain is part of growing up. It's how we learn." stated Chartrand while he was discussing the crisis in the Vatican city with the camerlengo (page 453). Chartrand was estatic that God would somehow find a way to save his chldren on Earth, and he wouldnt let anything bad happen to his offspring. The camerlengo, however, was explaining how dads today would let their children learn from their mistakes, and when they get hurt, they learn not to make the same error, or they will know the consequence. He then tied in the crisis they were facing, which happened to be pure annihilation within the world's smallest country. He then finished the chat by pointing out "Exactly", in which the camerlengo made his point clear, and told Chartrand not to get his hopes up. They both knew that God was either all-powerful or well-meaning, however they figured he could not be both. The camerlengo was making his point clear that God would not save his followers because they made a mistake, and they had to learn from it.

Why the Canucks are Losing

As many people have noticed, the Canucks are on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs this year. I am writing this not to offend the Canucks, but to give people a glimpse of hope in the future for the team that matters. As the season draws to an end, the Canucks are currently sitting in ninth place, and with only two games left, they are ready to throw in the towel. Currently looking into the future and imagining a win against both Edmonton and Calgary is highly unlikely. Also, Nashville only one point, however two easy games ahead, may sneak in without being harmed.
Now, when I say that there are reasons for the depressing season, some people would agree, and others would say that it was just a tough year. The main reason; Chedders. Naslund has had a very depressing year being moved throughout the lines in a meager attempt to increase his production. However, as we all know, the Canucks did not play their cards right and pick up the valuables in the market when they had the chance. There are two people who could have made a difference in the time of distress. Hossa and Forsberg.
Lets start with Hossa. Totaling 64 points, and leading Naslund by 9 makes a difference. When Naslund has been shifted through all the lines and begins to produce garbage goals over the "El Capitano" snipes, there is a problem. Hossa continues to play make and produce, yet the Canucks passed right by him as like shadow on a wall. The verdict: They could have got rid of Naslund for a points man.
Now we shall talk about Forsberg. Even though he didn't play for the majority of the season, he still has racked up a total of 11 points in 8 games. Not too shabby for a grinder! Ever since Bertuzzi left, the Canucks have needed someone with a chip on their shoulder and a tack in their skate. The verdict: They could have got rid of Naslund for a grinder.
What do the Canucks do next year? Trade Naslund for the best offer they can find, because he fell in a hole and cant get out.

The Perils of Indifference

1. Salvation takes time when Nobody is Around.

2. Situations where something appears normal at first glace, and later turn into an unexpected outcome happen all the time. Such as my experience when I was told I won a prize and it was down at the police station. As I arrived at my destination, I was immediately cuffed and booked, and it was only three months later that I found out that they had made a mistake, and apprehended the wrong person. This of course did not happen to me, but it has happened many times in history.

3. The story relates to the other story, "The Lottery" in the way that there is a society affecting another group of people. The population that is being devistated is neglected, and the society that is affecting the other group is unaware of the pain and torture they are causing many other people. In "The Lottery", the town tortures the one person who gets picked, and in the "Perils of Indifference", it was the Jewish society who was being neglected by the other cultures while they were being exterminated.

Ignorance is Bliss

How does one suggest that ignorance is bliss? Why would people not want to worry about our corrupt society? There are so many problems going on that nobody is aware of, and gets no attention whatsoever. While many people are suffering, many more are unaware of the help they are able to provide to others in this time of distress. Ignorance is bliss at times, but when the world relies on other citizens for support for national support, everyday they are shocked at the fact that so few of us actually pay attention to a crisis happening half way around the world. Yes, it is farfetched that everybody knows about it, but it is dissapointing that only minor amount of people actually know about these problems, and fewer even support these problems. Ignorance is bliss at times, but for many of us, ignorance should not be so bliss.

Imperfections

Do people all look alike? No, or course not! But what makes people look different from each other? The obvious differences are hair color, hair style, eye color, skin tone, mouth style, shape of ones nose, and shape of jaw line. Everybody has these features, and everybody looks different, but how? Every body has small imperfections in which one person looks different compared to another person, and these imperfections should not be fixed. It is the small things that make people naturally beautiful and distinguish one from another. What would a perfect person look like? Would they have straight or wavy hair? Would they be tall or short? Would they have green or blue eyes? Who knows. Nobody is perfect, and nobody knows what a perfect person looks like. So who here knows what imperfections are? Nobody because nobody knows what is an imperfection and what isn't.

Blog Subjects

When I am told to write about a specific topic, I tend to wander off and begin to talk about other subjects. While many people prefer to write about a simple and easy to follow subject, I personally could care less what the topic of the paragraph or essay is. Whether it is sports, past life experiences, or just life in gereral, they are all fairly easy for me to write about. Overall, I seem to notice that I have the most fun when I am asked to write about a topic that has abosolutly no point to it, and where the information has endless directions. All of those past provincial exam topics were boring only because they were blank and had no meaning to them. Random topics such as, "Who would win in a fight; Superman or The Hulk?","Which do you think came first; the chicken or the egg" and "Why is the sky blue?" are easy to write about only because there is no right or wrong answer, and I can guarentee that very few people would have trouble making an arguement out of that topic. All I know is that whatever the topic is, I will not have much trouble in writing about it because I can write about anything. As for the marking, it should be marked on the same six point scale as paragraphs.

My Super Sweet Superpower

If I was able to have anysuper power in the world, I would only need one superpower. The Superpower to have any superpower in the entire world. The reasons why I would want to have this special ability are simple. Say I wanted to fly, I would be able to because I would give myself the ability to fly. Say I wanted to lift a 5 ton building, I would turn into Hulk. Say I wanted to hold my breath underwater forever, I would give myself the ability to grow gills or just not need to breath. There are so many advantages to having all the superpowers compared to having only one. However if I could only have one superpower, it would be the superpower to see into the future. By having this superpower, I would be able to alter my life for the best, and have the most fun getting to my "new future". I would do this by making different choices than I normally would in everyday life. A major plus side to this special ability would be to make bets on sports. I would be a guarenteed win every single time, and I would be set for money. A downside to this ability would be the fact that I would see my own death, and that should be something nobody should ever know about. If I was able to pick my own superpower, it would be the ability to see into the future.
